The origin of the kaleidoscope dates back to the early 1800s when it was used to enlighten and entertain viewers with a cascade of shapes and colours mixed with light. The word derives from the ancient Greek term that is translated as 'observer of beautiful forms'.
Kaleidoscope Productions Inc. doesn't date back quite that far, but we do share many of the same characteristics with the original kaleidoscope - to inform, enlighten and entertain through the use of shapes and colours.
